Strains and extracts that contain a 1:1 ratio are made up of 50% THC and 50% CBD. This creates an evenly balanced high. THC will provide the psychoactive effects, and CBD will help to balance these effects out. The CBD helps to not feel so weighed down.

2:1 THC:CBD RATIO or 2:1 CBD:THC RATIO
For 2:1 THC:CBD that means there is twice the amount of THC as there is CBD. For 2:1 CBD:THC that means there is twice the amount of CBD as there is THC.
If you are looking for stronger psychoactive effects with a little bit of CBD to help keep you a little grounded- 2:1 THC:CBD is for you!
If you are looking for slightly lighter psychoactive effect but all the benefits, 2:1 CBD:THC is for you!
8:1 CBD:THC RATIO
8:1 CBD means that it is majority CBD and a small amount of THC, if you do feel anything, it will be a very light high, a slight buzz. You will still be able to function pretty well.

20:1 is almost all CBD and very little THC, best if you are looking for medicinal use only. This is great starting point if you want to try THC but are not sure if you want to feel many psychoactive effects.
